The Hunters LodgeA Rich History
The Hunters Lodge Inn can be found in the historic village of Cornworthy near the River Dart, between Totnes and Dartmouth. For many years the pub has been at the centre of Cornworthy village life for many years serving this small rural Devon community and visiting tourists.
Originally named “The Globe” and then the “Hunters Lodge Inn”, the pub's name was once again changed around late 2017 early 2018 to the “Madruth Inn” by the then owners This name only lasted a few months as the pub was once again sold with the new owners reverting the name back to “Hunters Lodge Inn”.
Current Owners
The business was closed for a period of time before Yorkshire hosts, Sue & Grahame, moved into the premises on 1st May 2019 reopening the Hunters on the 17th May 2019.
Sue and Grahame have been in the Pub industry close on 40 years and have a wealth of experience and are winners of many awards for beer, food and hospitality.
Sue’s menu is an eclectic mix of pub favourites with an emphasis on homemade, wholesome and fresh, while Grahame serves an ever rotating range of ales from all over the country. The wine list is equally exciting with a range of Red’s, White’s, Rose and Fizz to suit all tastes.

Bed & Breakfast
The Hunters Lodge has four guest rooms - two doubles and a twin. And a brand new pet friendly Garden Room. All have en-suite facilities, fans, wall mounted flat screen TV’s. Included in your room price is a cooked breakfast with juice, tea or coffee.
If you have any special requests please let us know, we can also, for a nominal cost, provide Flower Bouquets, Chocolates, Champagne etc. We do need a little notice but we endeavour to always manage your request.
